September 10, 2020 – Gilgal featured in World Magazine: The article entitled, “Relearning How to Live,” included an interview with Val Cater, Gilgal’s Founder and Executive Director, and Rachel Dowdell, Gilgal graduate and current Residential Manager. May 11, 2020 – Gilgal Featured in the Wall Street Journal: The article, entitled “Nonprofits Face Bleak Future as Revenue Dries Up Amid Coronavirus,” included an interview with Val Cater, Gilgal’s Founder and Executive Director, about how COVID is impacting Gilgal. Also featured were Gilgal graduates Jessica P. and Deborah Moore who shared their experiences as Gilgal residents. March 19, 2020 – Update Regarding Gilgal COVID-19 Response: Thank you to our Gilgal family and friends who have reached out to check on us during this COVID-19 crisis. Our staff and residents are doing well, and we are practicing the safety guidelines from public health and government officials — especially social distancing. We are still open at this time, caring for the needs of our business, however we have suspended visitations, classes and public activities, and are operating with limited on-site staff. Like others, we continue to evaluate new information as it comes and are making adjustments as needed. Many have asked about ways to help and if we are taking donations.
